Newport Craft is local, and I've enjoyed the rest of their lineup, so it was time to give their gin its due. I poured a tester before reading the label, couldn't figure it out what I was tasting, and it was hops! It's not strongly hoppy, but closer to a finish of soft, maybe English noble hops, more of lingering after note. Holds up well in a martini, gives an almost drying savory touch to the martini - always a good thing in American gins that run a bit sweet for my taste. Excited to experiment and see what else it goes well with.
